Welcome to Walnut Tree Farm Park

Walnut Tree Farm Park is a family run working farm. It has been a working farm for over 50 years and has opened to the public as a farm park in the last few years.

The farm starting with only 24 cows in 1968 and grew over the years to 600. From 1983 to 1985  the farm used to be the biggest dairy farm in Wales, which produced twelve thousand litres of milk a day and employed 14 members of staff.

Milk quotas were introduced in 1984, limiting milk production on all farms.  We decided to diversify into beef cattle and sheep. We sold the dairy heard of about 1000 cows over three years. The unused dairy buildings were converted into cottage type workshops for new startup businesses. These businesses have now been operating for the last 30 years.

On a large part of the farm five fishing lakes were constructed, with various species of fish, with carp and pike being caught up to 35 pound. This has proved very popular with schools on weekdays and with children at weekends and holidays.

Our aim is to improve and develop the existing very popular facility.
